Ray Nagin (left), the Mayor who fiddled and fumed while New Orleans floated, 'playfully' points an assault weapon at the New Orleans Chief of Police in this recent photo.Nagin, you may remember was the Mayor that cried and cursed that the federal government was not doing enough to aid New Orleans during and after hurricane Katrina, while 400+ buses, that his own plan called for use to evacuate the city, went unused and were eventually flooded in the cities parking lots.
- Not a single New Orleans resident was evacuated from the city by the city government, in spite of an evacuation plan that the Mayor signed a year prior to the hurricane.
- Claiming "God told me that New Orleans should be a Chocolate City", Ray Nagin was re-elected Mayor of New Orleans after the flood. The people that were most directly harmed by his mis-management were the ones that were also fooled into supporting him by a blatant appeal to race.
- The murder rate in New Orleans after the hurricane evacuees returned was so bad that Ray Nagin called for the National Guard to assist the police. This photo in which he points a gun at the Chief of police is troubling in that it portrays Nagin's disrespect for authority, already evident in the population of the Big Easy and also demonstrates a complete disregard for safe gun-handling.
- Ray Nagin's best qualification as a Mayor is he talks a good game and in fact was a prominent radio personality. His management and organizational skills are non-existent.
Meanwhile, in another revealing photo, Democrat presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama is shown dressed in the garb of a Somali Warlord or Elder. The picture was taken two years ago during a pilgrimage to Somalia by Obama.The nation of Somalia was made famous, or infamous to most Americans, by the movie Blackhawk Down. That movie portrayed the events of an incident during the Battle of Mogadishu in October of 1993, in which Somali warlords shot down two American helicopters, mutilated and killed the crews then dragged their bodies through the streets of Somalia. Eighteen Americans died.
Is it just me or is there anyone else that wonders why Obama is visiting and honoring Somalia. Of course, his refusal to honor the Pledge of Allegiance or wear the American Flag and his wife's statement of never being proud of the United States may be explained by examining just what Obama is proud of.
Ray Nagin and Barack Obama have many similarities beyond the obvious. They are both Democrats; they are both charismatic; they are both very popular within their communities; they are both newly elected, inexperienced officials; they both lack judgment; they both talk a better game than they play and here is one more. Ray and Obama, I know your mothers tried to raise you better!

I'm sure we could get some creative video captures of all of our public officials. At least Nagin didn't shoot the guy like our infamous Vice President, Mr. "Go F*ck Yourself" Dick Cheney.
Nagin didn't do right by N.O. and that Chocolate City crap was blatantly racist. But don't jump on the guy for a video capture...jeez.
On to Barack...what's revealing about him dressing up in garb??? Don't politicians put on get-ups when they go to other countries??
And this lapel pin thing...do you wear one? Is this now a mandatory requirement for political office?
Actions and accomplishments speak louder than words, IMHO.
And finally, the pledge of allegiance. All members of congress pledge allegiance following the chaplain’s prayer when the day’s session begins. Barack has pointed this out several times. He pledges allegiance every day that he’s in the senate. Not one senator has ever stepped up to dispute this or say that they witnessed Obama refusing to do the pledge.
I'm not beating Nagin because of the video capture. Grown men who point guns at each other are foolish and he could not have been shown in this vid-cap had he not been acting foolish and in public. As for Hussein Obama, If I visited Germany and found that I needed to honor that country by putting on the uniform of the SS I think most would question my judgement. Obama, has shown such a lack of judgment that he is forever doing things that he should not. When he pledges allegiance in the Congress he does not put his hand over his heart, that was pointed out by other senators. That is what I meant by him not honoring the pledge. By itself, not wearing a pin means nothing, but in the case of Obama; if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, I think it just may be a duck.
Pssst, here's a little secret, the Germans are not proud of that part of their history. If you went to Germany and put on an SS uniform, the GERMANS would question your judgement! LOL!

Most Germans NOW are no longer proud of that part of their history. A better example might be to put on a confederate uniform and visit parts of the South where the confederacy is an honored part of their tradition. I do not hate Obama, nor am I against his running for office. I do believe however, that he stands for nothing, has stood for nothing and is naive. People that get excited because he talks a good game should remember Ray Nagin. This is a critical year. We are at war and the economy needs help. Obama has neither the experience or the judgement to be trusted with either problem in my opinion. Again, he and his wife have been blessed by this country, yet they do not appreciate it. In her Princeton thesis, Michelle wrote that Black people needed to organize and revolt to overthrow this white dominated country. This is no time to elect anyone that is not sure of where their allegiance should be placed. Michelle and Obama have indicated again and again that in common with many well-off but spiritually and emotionally needy people, having it made is not enough, what they seek is purpose. However, he is not my Messiah and the American people do not exist to give Obama's life a purpose.
If Obama's biggest fault is naivete', he's my man. Neither of his competitors for the office have any more experience running anything more than a campaign or a senate office.
He stands on principle and is not afraid to say when he's wrong. I believe that's a better leader than a person who continues on with a wrong-headed policy just because he has to appear strong...strong and wrong. He may get his clock cleaned in Washington and may face many obstacles, but before he becomes discouraged and jaded, I think he'll move this country in a positive direction. He's got a record of bringing people together to effect change, that's what a President is supposed to do, right?
So are you saying that Michelle should just tell mastuh that she is so grateful about him raping her homeland and stealing her ancestors and bringing them here because she's so much better off here???

I agree with you 100% about the victim mentality. Don't get bitter, get better. It's obvious that the Obamas did work hard and made their situation better. Barack has also worked to make things better for others as well!

Now, for the record, some of the "homies" did assist with the rape of the homeland and are doing so currently, but surely you're not saying the Europeans did Africans a favor by enslaving them because their descendants now live in the U.S.?
Also, describing the mid-Atlantic slave trade as "Mistreatment" is beyond euphemistic, to say the least!
Actually, if you honestly had a choice of staying in Africa, or being in the US, you'd probably come here... no matter what it cost.

It's been a while since I read this, but I do agree with Anon. No one is leaving the U.S. to go anywhere. While people from all over the world are coming here. That says quite a bit about the state of life in these United States. Africa would indeed be more of an immigration problem than Mexico if there were not thousands of miles of water between us and Africa. Or do you think that the people of Ruanda and Darfur and Kenya are just 'dying' to stay in Africa?!
